Encourage hosts several events throughout the year as we work to connect our existing foster and foster-to-adopt families with the resources and support they need while also seeking out new families to add to our network. These include foster parent prep courses (formerly called pre-service trainings) for new families, monthly First Friday events, ongoing child-specific training and more. Check back here often for new events!

UDPATE: Due to the current health orders of COVID-19, it is our priority to keep you and your family safe. We hope to host winter foster parent prep courses in person. Other events have either been postponed or moved to an online format when possible. Encourage staff are currently working to bring you online opportunities for trainings to keep your foster license up-to-date as well as ways to introduce new families to Encourage.
